How to get to St. Petersburg by water

St. Petersburg is often called Venice of the North. Boats and large cruise ships run along its canals and rivers. In the west of Vasilyevsky Island there is the Marine Station mooring complex. It resembles a ship with a mast from a distance. This complex was built in the 80s of the XXth century. It accommodates cruise and ferry cargo and passenger ships.

In 2011, the construction of the new passenger port Marine Facade on the Neva Bay was completed. Vessels longer than 200 meters arrive at this port. Ferries, cruise and ocean liners of the largest companies in the world - Carnival Corporation, Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, etc. There are seven berths in total. For tourists, comfortable arrival halls are organized - duty-free shops, ATMs, information centers, cafes, souvenir shops.
