Parking in St. Petersburg: paid and free, zones, how to pay

The city parking management center started to work in 2015. Today there are 14 intercept parking lots near the metro. Stuck in a traffic? You can leave your car for free and use public transport. You are allowed to use the parking spot from 06:01 to 20:00, and leave before 23:59. These free parking lots are located in the Frunzensky, Kalininsky, Kirovsky, Moskovsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Nevsky, Vyborgsky districts.
In the city center a single paid parking zone operates on 27 streets. There is a place for almost 3,000 cars. You can park your car for an hour, a month or a year. Payment is made through the parking meter by credit card, through the St. Petersburg Parking mobile app, a personal account on the official website or even via SMS to the number 2722.
If you violate the parking conditions, you will be fined up to 3,000 rubles. We recommend you to learn about all the conditions before leaving your car.

The icing on the cake: the paid parking zone can be used for free every day from 20:01 to 07:59. It will be useful for those who decide to walk around the night city or have a romantic evening in a restaurant.
There are more than a dozen city parking lots for 1,310 cars in St. Petersburg. They are located in the Petrodvortsovy, Primorsky, Moskovsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Kirovsky and Centralny districts. It is more profitable to buy a subscription for a month than to leave the car for a couple of hours.
If you go shopping on your private transport, then you can park a car at most shopping malls. In the Gallery shopping center, there is a two-story underground parking; the cost is about 200 rubles for the first three hours.
